01What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar techniques such as localStorage, which lets the browser keep data locally. In this statement we refer to both simply as "cookies".
02Which cookies do we use?
We use necessary and functional cookies, and with your consent also analytics cookies and third-party marketing and tracking cookies. The first two groups are needed to make the website work and may be placed without consent. The other two are only placed after you switch them on yourself in the cookie banner.

If you switch on statistics, we load Google Analytics. If you switch on marketing, we load Google Ads and the Meta Pixel. If you refuse, none of these scripts is loaded. If you withdraw a choice, loading stops from that moment; anything already loaded stops as soon as the page reloads.
Google and Meta are independent parties with their own processing. They decide for themselves how long their cookies remain and where they process the data, including outside the European Union. The retention periods in the table above are the periods we measured; they can change them without any action on our side. What they do with the data, and on what legal basis, is set out in their own privacy statement: Google and Meta.
03Adjusting your preferences
Below you can see your current choice. Necessary cookies are always on and cannot be switched off; you can switch statistics and marketing on or off yourself. Your new choice takes effect as soon as you click Save choice. If you switch something off, we reload the page so that anything already running actually stops.
You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings. Please note that the website may then work less well.
04Personal data
Some data processed via forms or cookies may be personal data. You can read how we handle it in our privacy policy. Separately from cookies, our web server keeps an access log; it places nothing on your device and is therefore described in the privacy policy.
If you have switched on marketing and then send a quote request or a message via the contact form or via free advice, we also report that request to Meta Platforms Ireland Limited from our own server. This happens alongside the Meta Pixel in your browser and with the same identifier, so that Meta counts the two as a single event.
We send along: your IP address, the description of your browser (the user agent), the Meta cookies _fbc and _fbp insofar as they are present on your device, a unique identifier for this request, the address of the page the form was on, and the time. We do not send your name, your email address or your telephone number. This data is sent unprocessed: we do not encrypt it and we do not shorten it.
The legal basis is your marketing consent from the cookie banner. Without that consent we send nothing. If you withdraw your consent, future transmissions stop immediately. What has already been sent cannot be undone by us; for that you can turn to Meta.
